From Pollination To Honey
It is always satisfing to see a project from pollination through to harvest.
Received a gift from Harvest Moon Honey today - a 3lb jar of raw, unfiltered honey - complete with logos and labels designed by Smalltown Design. Can't wait to sample the product!
Carol, of Harvest Moon Honey, goes to great lengths to insure that the bees she keeps are healthy and produce the most organic honey possible. She works with neighboring farms to help keep the bees foraging area (up to 2 miles from the hive) as natural and organic as possible.

When developing a brand concept, sometimes the greatest skill is simple recognition. When working with good people, solid companies, quality products, observation can provide all the inspiration required.
The trick is to not complicate it.
One look at Epic Pergolas signature arched structure designs and the brand concept was clear - clean & stylish lines, structural strength coming together overhead.

New Flexible Solution
Mountain Springs Church (MSC) - Bonners Ferry was looking for a multi-purpose solution. They wanted a print product that was a "MAP", something to guide folks around the MSC community.
The MAP needed to take a form that could be easily handed to visitors, given out to regular church attendees and be used in the community to communicate upcoming events. The design also needed to easily allow for quarterly updates.
So Smalltown Design came up with the concept of a 12" x 18, full color, two sided, two fold "Map". Included is a 12" x 18" event calendar with MSC staff bios (calendar events and staff bios can be updated with every new production run), a 9" x 12" inset panel with a ministry highlight and information section, all wrapped in a 9" x 6" front cover and back panel.
The finished product is also very affordable (a fraction of a single letter sized color print at your local copy store) and sets the template for future quarterly updates.

Circle D Farm wanted their updated logo added to their business forms - Invoices and Bill of Lading. Along with a few changes to content and layout, Smalltown Design redesigned and ordered the forms in triplicate! We also provided editable, digital files for future needs.

Regional Landmark Reborn
The Hemlocks is a long standing establishment that began as a full service restaurant. Over the years – through several owners – the motel and then the RV Park were added. In 2013, Tammy and Will Hedrick purchased The Hemlocks and with great joy have been working to revive the rustic atmosphere of the much beloved restaurant and facilities...from hemlockslodging.com.
Smalltown Designs has been honored to partner with Will & Tammy Hedrick in resurrecting the Boundary County landmark establishment - The Hemlocks.

Congratulations Sage Dixon!
Congratulations to Sage Dixon on winning the election for Idaho House of Representatives, District 1B.
As noted in an earlier post, Sage is a Small Town client and friend.
Smalltown Design was happy to assist Sage, his wife Veronica, and the entire Dixon family in their campaign and now looks forward as Sage will represent the people of North Idaho (Boundary County and the majority of Bonner County)

Small Town Family Fun!
Kyle Watt's and the crew from Woody's Gun & Pawn are sponsoring the Smash & Bash 2014 Demolition Derby. Smalltown was privileged to create Woody's logo earlier this year so we threw together a poster/FB page for this event.
Woody's brings a family environment to their business and will look to do the same for this "fun for the family" event.
