New Feature...and Viral Chickpeas

Smalltown Design includes the lifestyle blog: Full of Days @ everydayfull.com. First and foremost Full of Days, and related Social Media channels, are a creative outlet for us. We also use the platform to test products, that when developed, may be offered to Smalltown Design partners.

Two recent examples:

1. Facebook Cover Videos - Earlier this year Facebook introduced Cover Videos. This had many professional Facebook users excited at the possibility of bringing popular website Header Videos from the website word into the Social Media sphere. Unfortunately, Facebook's feature release was a bit early and over the first half of 2017 they rolled back, rolled out, and rolled back this feature multiple times. They eventually ironed the bugs out and Facebook Cover Videos are now functional. We are currently testing out cover videos on our Full of Days Facebook Page.

 2. "Tasty Style" videos - We are producing simple, under 2-minute "Tasty Videos" for Facebook. Some refer to this video style as "Hands & Pans". The goal for these videos is to funnel Facebook traffic to a page, then convert the traffic to specific and measurable results. In the case of Full of Days the conversions are measured by:

  • Facebook
    • Video Views & Reach
    • Page views, Likes and Follows
  • Website
    • Page Visits
    • Page Views
    • Email Subscriber Sign Ups

By all measures, this video was a great success. It went viral, with more than 50,000 views in 24 hours (Total views as of this post: 76,500), and conversions were strong across all categories.

3rd Generation Design

It is particularly rewarding to be part of growing companies, to have the chance to develop designs through multiple generations.

We partnered with Panhandle Countertops from their very beginning, designing the original logo and branding. When the company was sold, we worked with the new owners to update the logo, and now that they are expanding, Smalltown Design has the privileged to add a second logo to the brand - Big Horn Kitchen & Bath.

We worked closely with Daniel Yoder to make sure that their concept, a Big Horn Sheep, was developed to work with the Panhandle Countertops logo. It also had to appeal to their clientele (taking an outdoors/wild form and make it appeal to those looking for a new kitchen & bath).

Hey...That's Our Book!

Kelsey was introduced to Ultimate Bundles last year when she purchased a Healthy Recipes bundle from them. Ultimate Bundles brings together resources, assembled around a theme, sometimes more than 100, and "bundles" them for one low price. Since that initial bundle we have personally purchased a number of their offerings and been glad for each (we learn a TON each time!).

Now, a year after we became fans, Full of Days is stoked to announce that one of our very own eBooks is included in the latest Ultimate Bundle - Healthy Living 2017!

Not only is our 14-Day Meal Plan: For Hormone Balancing and Gut Restoration part of the bundle, we received news over the week end that our book is one of the most downloaded resources! Pretty cool, huh!

Check out Kelsey's Welcome video and The Healthy Living bundle!

There is a lot of value in this product and if you pick one up then you are supporting Full of Days! But don't wait...The Bundle is only available through the end of today! @ Midnight, Monday 9/25/2017 the Bundle ends.

New Custom Trucker Hats

New Product Offering

Smalltown Design is excited to begin offering Custom Leather Patch Trucker hats.

The hats are Richardson 112 Trucker Style snap back hats.  This style of hat looks great on men and women, and even fits older children.

The leather patches are from the finest of Full Grain American Leathers. There are only a handful of tanneries left in this country and even fewer use American cowhides. The hides are hand picked from an American tannery that has been in operation for well over 150 years.

The patches are laser etched, hand stitched and assembled in the USA by a family owned and operated company.

Wearing my own leather patch hat, with a Full of Days logo, I have been stopped by men and women alike, ages 20-60+  asking where they could buy one.

It doesn’t matter if you’re in a “little bitty town or a big ol’ city”, these hats appeal to all.

For your business, they can provide professional attire for employees, present a profitable retail opportunity, be used as a great promotional gift or be a stylish thank you gift to your valued clients.

Call or email us for more details!

Everyday Sourdough - Ebook

We recently released our second Full of Days eBook - Everyday sourdough. It is a 45 page collection of our sourdough posts from everydayfull.com, supplemented with additional "getting started" guides.

This book represents the next evolution for us at Full of Days. We developed this asset by incorporating existing high traffic website posts, Amazon affiliate links, Pinterest pins and e-mail subscriber registration.

We also produced a unique single page URL to drive sales of the ebook. The marketing campaign will include direct emails, social media (Facebook, Pinterest), website ads and affiliate sales through our online blogging network.

You can read more about, and purchase the eBook, here

New Flexible Solution

Mountain Springs Church (MSC) - Bonners Ferry was looking for a multi-purpose solution. They wanted a print product that was a "MAP", something to guide folks around the MSC community.

The MAP needed to take a form that could be easily handed to visitors, given out to regular church attendees and be used in the community to communicate upcoming events. The design also needed to easily allow for quarterly updates.

So Smalltown Design came up with the concept of a 12" x 18, full color, two sided, two fold "Map". Included is a 12" x 18" event calendar with MSC staff bios (calendar events and staff bios can be updated with every new production run), a 9" x 12" inset panel with a ministry highlight and information section, all wrapped in a 9" x 6" front cover and back panel.

The finished product is also very affordable (a fraction of a single letter sized color print at your local copy store) and sets the template for future quarterly updates.

Full of Days in Mother Earth News Magazine

Have you seen our "night job"? Full of Days is what Kelsey and I work on together in the evenings, and weekends, holidays, late nights...

Recently one of our recipes, Maple Poppy, was published in the April/May 2017 edition of Mother Earth News Magazine.

From Plain Site to a Market Concept

Dodge Peak Lodge is located in Boundary County, North Idaho. Jennifer, owner/operated of Dodge Peak Lodge, wanted to update their existing website from basic functionality to one of form - showcasing a destination concept.

"Instead of just a place to stay, while passing through, come experience all the beauty that the county has to offer. Outdoor enthusiasts, hikers, bird watchers, climbers and nature photographers, Dodge Peak can be your base camp."

With this idea in mind, Smalltown Design created a site to match!

Established Company / New Look

Apple Creek Propagators has been in the Wholesale Nursery business since the 1980's. They have an established clientele and were looking for an updated logo and website. Smalltown Design took their history, story and way of doing business, into account and created both for them (website). It was a pleasure working with John and Loren and to develop this project!
